CA Course Structure

The CA course is divided into three levels. They are:

Eligibility

To be eligible for CA Intermediate
registration, a candidate must first clear the entry-level CA Foundation exam.
There are two distinct pathways through which students can enroll for the CA
Intermediate exam for Nov 2023. The following outlines the eligibility criteria
for CA Intermediate registration based on different streams:

Through the CA Foundation Method:

Candidates need to have successfully
completed 10+2 from a recognized board and also passed the ICAI CA Foundation
examination to become eligible for the CA Intermediate examination.

Through the Direct Entry Method:

Students have the opportunity to directly
register for the Intermediate level without needing to clear the entrance
level.

• Commerce Graduates/Post Graduates who have secured a minimum of 55% can register directly for Intermediate without passing CA Foundation or CPT.
• Non-commerce Graduates/Post Graduates can also register for Intermediate by obtaining a minimum of 60% marks in Graduation/Post Graduation.
• In addition to the above, students who have cleared the Intermediate level of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India are also eligible.

Registration Process of CA Intermediate Exam 2023

To register for the Intermediate course, students can easily initiate the process by completing the online CA Intermediate registration form, accessible via the ICAI official website under the students’ section within course registration forms.

Step 1: Login to the Self Service Portal (SSP)

Begin by visiting the ICAI official website, where you’ll find a link to the Self Service Portal located in the top right corner of the header. This link can be directly accessed or you can alternatively visit the URL https://eservices.icai.org. Once you’re on the portal, log in using your designated login credentials. In case you don’t yet possess an account, there’s an option titled “First Time User” specifically designed for new students without existing login credentials.

Step 2. Once the authentication is done, You will be redirected to the other screen, Now tap on the given link to access the student SSP portal.

Step 3. Click on the student cycle in the blue box as shown below. 

Step 4. Following the next page, students who are coming through the CA Foundation route have to click on “Intermediate through CA Foundation”. And other students who have completed their graduation or coming through CS and CMA Executive route should click on “Intermediate ( Direct entry) for the existing student”.

Step 5. Over the next page, your personal detail would be filled automatically if you’re old student and if you’re new student then you have to fill the details manually. Check the details thoroughly, verify it and click on the next. Now you have to enter the exact details of your Qualification as given over there. You will have to attach the scan copy of the Class X and Class XII document and with the attested copy. rewrite it

Step 6.  After uploading the copies and verifying it you have to fill up the below details.

Step 7. Over the blue highlighted box, click on Save and next.

Step 8: Upload Picture and Signature

In this step, students are required to upload their photograph and signature. To proceed, click on the designated “click here to upload” blue box found in the right column. Please adhere to the following specifications: the image size must not exceed 100 KB and the dimensions should be 21cm in width and 27cm in length. It’s imperative that all uploaded documents conform to the jpg/jpeg format. Incorrect adherence to these conditions might result in the possibility of your application being rejected by ICAI.

Step 9: Review and Confirm Details

Before finalizing your registration, take a moment to meticulously review all the details you have provided. Once you are certain of the accuracy, proceed by clicking “Generate OTP” to confirm your information.

Step 10. Your verification link will be sent to the registered email address along with it you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. 

Step 11. Enter your OTP and complete the process of validation and login. Fill up the captcha carefully.

After filling the CA Intermediate registration form and making the payment, the ICAI system will generate a form for you. You are required to take printout and submit this form to the concerned regional office within 7 days after signed by the candidate along with the documents.

What documents are required for CA Inter Registration 2023?

To complete the registration process, the following steps need to be undertaken:

1. Furnish an attested copy of the Class 12th Marksheet or its equivalent from a Central Government recognized examination.
2. For Direct Entry Students, provide an attested copy of either the Graduation/Post Graduation Marksheet. Alternatively, present the Marksheet or Mark statement of the Intermediate level Examination from ICSI (Institute of Company Secretaries of India) or ICWAI (Institute of Cost Accountants of India).
3. Attach a recent colored photograph to the hard copy of the registration form.
4. If the student is a foreign national, include an attested copy of proof of Nationality.
5. For students belonging to special categories such as SC/ST/OBC or those with disabilities, attach an attested copy of the relevant category certificate.

Upon completing the aforementioned formalities, the Study Material will be dispatched to students within one month via the Centralized Dispatch System.
